What personal data we collect

We collect personal data when you register, when you use your account and when you contact us. We ask for what we need to run your account properly, keep play fair and meet the duties that apply to a licensed gambling operator, and nothing beyond that.

Account and contact details

  • Your full name, date of birth and residential address.
  • Your e-mail address and mobile number.
  • Your username, password and the other credentials used to log in.
  • Your account currency, contact preferences and the safer gambling limits shown in your account.

Identity and age verification documents

Before your first withdrawal, and at other points where we are required to carry out checks, we ask for documents that confirm who you are, how old you are and where you live. These may include photo identification, proof of address, proof that a payment method belongs to you and, where the source of your funds has to be established, documents about your income or wealth. Some of these documents can reveal data the law treats as sensitive; we handle that data only where the law allows it and only for the checks it was supplied for.

Transactions and gambling activity

  • Deposits, withdrawals, bonus credits and the payment methods you use, as shown in the cashier.
  • Games played, stakes, wins and losses, and the length and timing of your sessions.
  • Safer gambling settings you apply, such as deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion.
  • Messages between you and our team, including live chat transcripts and e-mail correspondence.

Device and usage data

  • Your IP address, the approximate location derived from it and your device's country and language settings.
  • Device type, operating system, browser and app version.
  • The pages and games you look at, the actions you take and how you move through the site.
  • Cookie identifiers and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.

We also receive data about you from third parties, including payment providers, identity-verification and fraud-prevention partners, and the self-exclusion scheme GamStop.

Why we use your personal data

We use your personal data for the purposes set out below. Where a purpose depends on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting your ability to play.

  1. To open, run and secure your account, credit your balance and pay out your withdrawals.
  2. To confirm that you are 18 or over and that you are who you say you are, and to repeat those checks when we are required to.
  3. To process payments and to resolve chargebacks, failed transactions and disputes with payment providers.
  4. To detect and prevent fraud, collusion, bonus abuse, account takeover and money laundering, and to meet our anti-money-laundering obligations.
  5. To support your safer gambling choices, including deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, and to look for signs that your play may be causing you harm.
  6. To answer your questions, handle complaints and keep a record of what was said.
  7. To meet our legal and regulatory duties, including record-keeping and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
  8. To send you offers, bonuses and news by e-mail, text or push message where you have opted in.
  9. To keep the site working, diagnose faults and understand which games and pages are used, so we can improve them.

Verification is a condition of play

Our accounts are for players aged 18 or over only. We hold a gaming licence and are required to verify every account, so if you do not supply the documents we ask for, we may have to restrict your account and hold any withdrawal until the checks are complete.

Who we share your personal data with

We do not sell your personal data and we do not pass it to advertisers for their own use. We share it only with the parties below, and only to the extent each of them needs it.

  • Payment providers and banks, so that deposits and withdrawals can be processed and payment disputes settled.
  • Identity-verification and fraud-prevention partners, who confirm your details against their own records and flag patterns associated with fraud.
  • Game and platform suppliers whose software runs the games in your account.
  • Service providers that host our systems, send our messages or help us support you, acting on our instructions only.
  • Regulators, auditors and law enforcement, where the law, a court order or the conditions of our licence require us to disclose data.
  • Self-exclusion schemes, including GamStop, so that a self-exclusion you have set is applied to your account.
  • Professional advisers, where we need advice on a dispute or a legal obligation.

Every provider that handles data on our behalf is bound by a written contract that limits them to our instructions and requires appropriate security. Where personal data is handled outside the United Kingdom, we put in place the safeguards that UK data protection law requires before the transfer takes place.

How long we keep your personal data

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is open, and after that for the period the law and our licence conditions require us to keep it. We do not keep data simply because it might one day be useful.

  • Account, transaction and gambling records are kept while your account is open and then for the retention period set by law.
  • Verification documents and anti-money-laundering records are kept for the period our legal duties require, and are then deleted.
  • Support messages and complaint files are kept for as long as needed to settle the matter and to answer any later query about it.
  • Self-exclusion and account-closure records are kept for the period required so that the exclusion can be honoured.
  • If you opt out of marketing, we keep a minimal record of your opt-out so that we do not contact you again by mistake.

When a retention period ends, we delete the data or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you. Anonymised figures may be kept for reporting on how our games and site are used.

Your rights and how to use them

Under UK data protection law you have the following rights over the personal data we hold about you.

  • Access - ask for a copy of your personal data and an explanation of how we use it.
  • Correction - have inaccurate or incomplete details put right.
  • Erasure - ask us to delete data we no longer have a lawful reason to hold.
  • Restriction - ask us to pause our use of your data while a question about it is settled.
  • Objection - object to use that relies on our legitimate interests, and object at any time to direct marketing.
  • Portability - receive the data you gave us in a commonly used electronic format.
  • Withdraw consent - switch off marketing or any other consent-based use at any time.
  • Complain - raise a concern with us and, if you are still unhappy, with the Information Commissioner's Office.

To use any of these rights, write to us at support@casinospinking.co.uk or privacy@casinospinking.co.uk, or open the live chat on this site. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that your data is not disclosed to someone else, and we will respond within the period the law allows.

Some rights have limits. We may not be able to erase data we are required to keep for age verification, anti-money-laundering, self-exclusion or dispute records, and we cannot stop messages that are needed to run your account, such as payment confirmations and notices about changes to our terms.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your settings, keep the site secure and understand how our pages and games are used. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies when you first arrive and change that choice later in your browser or in the cookie settings on the site; full detail of each category we use is set out in our Cookie Policy.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices, our systems or the law change. The version on this page is always the current one, and we will tell you by e-mail or an on-site notice before any change that materially affects how we use your data. If you need help with your privacy settings, or with deposit limits, time-outs or self-exclusion, our team can assist; free, independent support is also available from GambleAware, GamCare, GamStop and the National Gambling Helpline.
